Said goodbye to my Macan S recently and traded for a CPO '21 Carbon Black X3 M-sport. It's got the 30i 4-cyl engine, but is surprisingly quick. Most importantly, my wife is less stressed driving it in the city than she was the Porsche. Only downside is it's on a brand-new set of run flat tires... hopefully I can burn through those fast and replace with normal tires.
Need to get a front plate mounted, but at least I got a few photos for posterity before that happens. Also snuck in the M3 next to it in our garage for a quick side-by-side. Will have to get them outside together for a better photo op at some point. If I can get them both to my mom's house at the same time I'll get her CB X5 in a shot too.
I didn't notice before we bought it, but someone else in our building owns a near-clone of it. Only difference is theirs doesn't have the black trim package. Also have seen a CB X1 in our garage too.

Coming from a lot of BMW’s to Toyota, the security systems are really intrusive! LC is worst than my 2023 Highlander. Way too much driving assist and can’t completely turn them off…
I am on a mountain bike trip to Vermont right now. LC drive really well on highway, I4 has more than enough power to pass other cars on backroads, suspension is firm but not as bad as my old 2015 4Runner Limited. It also doesn’t feel like a truck like that 4Runner. Steering feel light on the LC and turn radius is good considering the size of the LC.
Base model 1958 sucks for the price to be honest. There is tons of plastic in the cabin. Especially the armrests bug me! But not a problem on LC/LC Premium trims. I like the slicktop tho and manual hatch. Fabric seats are also ok and seats are comfortable for a Toyota so far on long ride.
I also considered the GX550. I prefer the V6 powertrain but I like the LC exterior and interior more than the GX. There is also too much thing in the GX that need to be control by the 12.3’’ screen like hvac…
I almost went for a LC premium in Cassonade Grey or Meteor Grey in US but dealer tried to gave me 5000$ less for X3 trade in vs other dealer for the 1958.
So I like my 1958 so far. It’s very different than my X3 M40i. Also considered a 2023 X5.Last edited by Gt4; 10-12-2024, 06:09 AM.GT4 Composites

It doesn’t sound good but was able to pull a Uhaul car hauler with stock E46 M3 (around 57-5800lbs) with the Highlander without any problem. Was doing as good as our previous 2018 Highlander with 3.5 V6.

I love the LC design. Super cool, congrats. What kind of real world fuel mileage were you getting so far?

But keep in mind the 1958 has no roof rails, narrower overflares and skinny 245/70/18 / 31.5’’ vs 265/32.5’’ tires for the other LC models. So pretty sure the 1958 gets better fuel economy vs other trims for that reason.GT4 Composites
