There’s just not really a reason to go wider than 10”. A 10” is optimally sized for a 275, so going wider just adds struggle for no benefit (and is functionally detrimental if you end up getting, say, 265s).

285s also fit fine on a 10” wheel, but IMO are generally a downgrade as you have to align the car for fitment instead even heat on the tire face (so less functional contact patch, despite the tire being wider).

As a follow up on this, and getting sort of back on topic

• The last parts to amount the CSL bumper are arriving from Germany this week.
• I haven't researched a wiper fluid reservoir solution just yet. The original reservoir with standard bumper will not fit. Any idea is welcomed! I haven't been able to find the OEM CSL SKU.
• I have had confirmation of shipment on the mechanical parts that were missing (some hoses) or wrong (injectors!) to finalize mechanical work on the car. I was dependent on this to do final fitment.
• I threaded the heads of 5 out of 6x top fender bolts - nice.

Once I have the bumper and fenders fitted up to expectations, I will launch the initial pre-orders for roughly 10x sets of fenders and 10x bumpers. I will validate the numbers and production schedules with Alsatek as we get closer to this.

I want to keep it tight within a solid 12 weeks window for delivery of all initial pre-orders. The bumpers and fenders would ship as they are ready.

All in all, a bit delayed over the initial June expectations but all will realistically come together soon.

That's what I did in the wagon, because the M3 tank also didn't play nicely with the M sport bumper.

I picked up 10x new top fender bolts yesterday. Car is out of mech work next week for aluminum carrier / csl bumper/ fender fitment.

Really excited. I got all the little bits and pieces from Germany to swap the aluminum carrier too.

I booked the complete paint restoration at the paint shop. We're bringing it down to bare metal for a proper restoration.

This car might actually be driven this year lol.
