Now lets play "find all the flaws"

Looking at the accident damage and how extensively the car was previously modified, I wouldn’t touch this with a 10ft pole even if I could afford it. Also 8+ previous owners…. lol

I have seen this car in person, it's actually very nice.

If the price is right, why not. It's a rare and special car. Unless the accident included frame damage.

I think a euro E36 might just be peak M3, sans the unique e30, a CSL, or the stroked e90. And this is the greatest E36 to drive...even if working on the 95s sucks.

I don’t have a problem with cars that aren’t perfect, I’m sure it’s cool and fun to drive. And it does look like it was repaired nicely. But the grills? Why. 95 grills are readily available. And the wheels. GTs have a unique finish that none of the other style 24s have and pretty much everyone who refinishes them does it wrong. So that’s kind of a shame, but more so it just serves as a reminder of the time when no one gave a fuck about these cars. People would track them, crash them, mod them, I wish we could go back to that time lol.

And cheap... didn't even try to "blend and extend."

What's another gallon of non-matching paint and another hour or two??

50 shades of LSB... it looks awful, the whole job has to be redone. That alone should take a big chunk of value away, not to mention I wouldn't trust a car where the owner is OK with such a terrible mismatched paint job.

Don't worry, that's 98% of enthusiasts. They don't know shit about paint. They can still be fine stewards of the car otherwise.

They do seem to have quite a bit of capital tied up in that particular trade. But then again if they're buying them for $15k and selling them for anything like $40k then that's good news, for them especially. Strong form "if" condition there.
