I was thinking to myself, he needs to get $100k for the car; nowadays, add $10k to that easy just in parts price changes. Hell, the oil level sensor and hood insulator have more than tripled in price since he bought those--that's $500 just right there.

The car was immaculate, and very well done.

I'm still surprised a car with accidents and that level of modification went for that price though. I'm sure the color helped.

I don't like the british racing green even the slightest bit, but apparently I'm in the minority.

There’s something to be said about:
                          -German cars being Blue
                          -Italian cars being Red, and
                          -British cars being Green

Notwithstanding that, it was a beautifully executed restomod. We are now living in an era where the e46 is in the restomod category.

Try silver and black for German cars 😄

Absolutely love the color and he deserves all the money on that one. I'm actually aspiring to do similar builds in retirement when the time comes. E30, E36, E39, E46, maybe get into 996 or 997s but the seed money goes up on the latter. Do one car at a time in my shop at my leisure. Tell my wife I broke even no matter what 🤣

BRG is a favorite, and it actually makes sense on a BMW. Britain, through prewar importers AFN, was fundamental in the early racing success of the 328 through drivers like A.F.P. Fane (who ironically used his knowledge of Germany gained racing while flying recon for the Brits. He also found and photographed the Tirpitz-sister ship to the Bismarck-before tragically dying in a flying accident).

I assume that's why the 1995 M3 GT got the color, though google also logically posits the acquistion of Rover group that year.
