    Bosch style injectors leaking

    My car has been in the shop going on close to two months now.

    I had them put on a smaller pulley on my supercharger, and swap my injectors and fuel pump for bigger units. ID1050x to be exact.

    They haven't been able to get my injectors to seal properly yet. At first, they weren't sealing at all. So they sent the adapters to a machine shop and had them enlarge them. Then the injectors sealed enough to pass a smoke test, but they are now leaking at around 6 PSI of boost on the dyno.

    I don't want to go back to my Dinan 440s.

    Is there a trick to running EV14 injectors in our cars? I've googled and am not coming up with much.

    I saw someone mention running a washer under the rail to space it up, but my tuner said that didn't work.

        thegenius46m is using a Radium fuel rail and it solved his sealing issues. Maybe test one out.

          Thanks! I actually just ordered one hoping that'd fix it. Here's hoping for the best!

            What's the issue? Are the injectors being torqued at a weird angle by the rail or are they sitting too low into the throttle bodies?

                Hmm mine didnt do that when they sat too low. Sure the o-rings aren't compromised? They'll warp pretty easily if you have to jam them in at an angle

                        Yup, those would do the trick. You'll need to tweak the fuel rail and feed setup slightly as it'll raise the injectors and rail up.

                          Can you elaborate on this?

                          The Radium fuel rail did not fix my issue, I was still getting a boost leak at 6 psi. They put my old Dinan injectors back in and it held 11 PSI fine.

                            It's probably not applicable if you have a radium rail to be honest, but for the stock rail you need to do this:

                            Remove the captive nut from the rail and enlarge the hole to give you a bit more wiggle room for the taller injectors.

                            Then slacken off the 2 bolts highlighted and pull the fuel feed up and re-tighten the bolts. I added a small spacer behind the tab on the upper bolt to allow it to move upwards a little more.

                              Did you ever come up with a solution? I’m having the same issue when I installed FIC 1000cc injectors. All 6 leak boost instantly and I can’t even hold 1psi.
