    OE size 18" wheels

Where is a good place to buy a set of front and rear OEM sized style 67s? Mine are getting old and chipping, need to get new ones in the near future.

The rears have been NLA for a little while. There was a big stock clearance a year or so ago where people were getting full sets for super cheap but I think that was BMW clearing the last of the stock. Only the fronts are available brand new, schmiedmann has them for pretty cheap.

So the only real option is to now go square with the front sizes unless aftermarket or used?

Unless someone has new old stock lying around yes. Running square front sizes would be an awful idea, they are narrow/high offset even for the front.

You could have your set refurbed

You can get them refinished. According to M5board, Prince Wheel in Monroe, NC can properly replicate the shadow chrome finish (paint code A56).

Oof, that's a long way to ship from Casper.

Appreciate the info - I'll give em a call.

Prince did a Group Buy to refinish shadow chrome wheels a while back - https://www.m5board.com/threads/grou...ishing.586225/

Worth shipping for the best results.

I had Prince do the RG-Rs on my M5 in BMW chrome shadow. Finish looked pretty bang on my memory of new stock.

I had my e46 wheels refinished by Prince along with a second pair of rears so they would all match. Even when new, they have slight variations if they are not from the same batch.

Prince did a very good job. Its not exact, but close enough that you will not be able to tell unless you have a factory finished one next to it.

Here are some pics of my wheels - do you think they're ok to refinish or do I just need new ones?

Unless there are cracks or the like, those are easy to fix. I curbed the daylights out of one of mine years ago and these guys fixed it up fine. Granted, I'm in Tucson, as is the shop, but perhaps you can work something out or point you elsewhere.

Yes they are good enough to be refinish.

BTW are you sure they never been resprayed in the past? Looks pretty silver-ish to me. And not sure if OEM finish flake like this. I had pretty beat up OEM over the years and they never flake like yours.

I have no idea. I bought it back in 2011 and have almost DD'd it since them. I'm almost at 150k and I got it with 78k I think.

I can't remember if it was the earlier or later wheels, but certain batches had the paint flaking issue like the OP's wheels.

OP, those wheels can easily be refinished. It's only heavy structural damage where a replacement wheel would be needed.
