Does anyone know what spray can paint brand and color to match the OEM color of the plastic trim on the steering wheel? It used to be on M3F but thats long gone.

I repainted parts of my trim a couple years back and got some good results. I used black primer, Dupli-Color Medium Gray Metallic GM, and Krylon Matte Finish.
Can't remember exactly how many coats of each I used, but I do remember having some trouble getting everything right. Had to sand everything off a couple times because using too much base coat would not allow the black primer to show through and the color match would be off and using too much clear coat would make it hazy.
Turned out pretty good, but I ended up spending close to what TexaZ3 charges because of how much I repainted. If I had to do it again, I would send it out to him instead.
Edit: Actually, I was looking through pics and I originally bought the medium gray metallic, but I'm pretty sure I ended up using storm gray metallic, as I ran out and that's what my local auto parts store had in stock. Both were pretty close matches though, with medium gray being slightly darker IIRC.Last edited by heinzboehmer; 05-26-2021, 01:46 PM.2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - Kassel MAP - SSV1 - HJS - PCS Tune - Beisan - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal

Pretty much indistiguishable from OEM.
It's been 5+ years and it still looks new..
