I know that the common approach is to tap into the wire in the homelink but is there a way to route the wires into the fusebox/glovebox? I want to use that method for connecting both parking and while driving.

Dashcam wiring into Fusebox

Yes. See my edit in a few mins.
When you remove the A pillar cover, you’ll see some wire retaining clips. I used those to make sure the dashcam wires didn’t get in the way of the airbag. For the ground wire, I used one of the bolts for the pass front airbag mount.

Did you have to pop off the front of the headliner to route the wire to the A pillar?
Which fuses did you end up piggy backing on?
thanksLast edited by 4getr34; 02-06-2023, 05:37 PM.

I’ll have to follow up with you on Thurs for the specific fuses. I’m away from my blue car, which has working parking mode.E46 M3 TiAg/Black - Journal, IG: sharkmar
