Somewhere (I'll try to find it) there is a post that shows where it goes.

Hi all, I'm 90% done with my CSL trunk install, so I thought I'd write up a DIY with some installation tips. Since they became available again, the CSL trunk is a popular mod on E46 M3s. However, the information out there currently is somewhat vague on what you actually need. Hopefully this clears things up. Sourcing a CSL

The badge placement needs to be adjusted slightly without the "CSL" portion.

You might want to wait a few weeks before installing the badge to let the paint fully cure; otherwise, the badge can create an indent in the clearcoat and you'll see it if you remove it in the future.

I stuck mine on the same center line as the CSL. Looks weird to me if it's shifted all the way to the right portion of the CSL badge.

Only pic I have on hand on my work computer:

ID:	213804 Mine is a little lower than some of the others on here. Definitely make it even/level with the ridge that goes across the trunk

Used gloss black F80 M3 emblem - M3 badge position is halfway between "stock" and CSL

I explained why in this post:

EDIT: I didn't realize you had done this, but this is why I positioned mine where I did too:

A friend of mine has no M3 badge on his CSL trunk, and it actually looks pretty great.
