why does every car with an S54 swap sound great, but on our cars that came with it stock it's extremely difficult to make it bearable?

I will have something in titanium in the works possibly later this year. It will be full 2.5" as well.

    Also 100% US made.

Titanium, from a German company—I'm not sure about sound clips, though—looks like a titanium version of a Dinan muffler.
Nice! Doesn’t have all that stupid looking color on it!

I’ve been thinking about welding my own titanium exhaust. Should be a worthy challenge. I’ve TIG’d aluminum which was a step harder than MIG welding. Then titanium is trickier than aluminum.

i've thought about inquiring to some titanium fabricators for this. full OE muffler replica with sound packing in titanium. the only wildcard is you're gonna be paying thousands and have no idea how it will end of sounding/droning

Second agenda, torque tests on re-using subframe bolts, with and without angle on top of torque, third agenda, I dunno, different tunes, airboxes. Lol, anyway, I had failed cats, sprung for the full SS system and overall, I like it. Race S3, eh, maybe the sport would have been better. But I have other stuff to do.
SS Race def sounds like a Honda below 3.5k-ish RPM from outside. But you have another 4.5k RPM that actually sounds really good, so who cares. If you like it, that’s all that matters.

I have the full SSV1 setup with the oversized sections too. Just with those mods and an HTE tune, it sounds like a Honda.

The SS Race does not help with that IMHO.

E46 m3. Worst exhaust note, best induction note (csl).
E9x m3. Best exhaust note, second best induction (and best, if comparing stock cars)
