I just bought a Slicktop headliner from Europe. Wasn't cheap due to shipping. The seller had about 3 of them at the time in different used conditions.

Where are you located and how much was the shipping?

Nate, you beat me to it. I was wondering the same thing.

Got my hands on a euro headliner and chipping away at recreating it in CAD: https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/m...354#post354354

I don't have the tools to recreate one of these, nor do I want to deal with the business side of selling them, but I will do all the mechanical "development" (i.e. copying what BMW already did).

I'll share all references and models once they're finished, in hopes that someone who can produce replica headliners will start doing so.

After a lot of work and effort here we go...

The slicktop headliner — out of production since 2020 — is back. We've poured serious effort into bringing this hard-to-find piece back to the E46 community, and we're proud to manufacture it in-house at 2M Autowerks.

txt or call us for any info.

              Thanks!

$1200 is a ridiculous amount of money to ask for this. Dont care about the "development" cost. Good luck with selling these......

If I understand correctly it comes covered in replica material. I assume BM134 from Veteran co?

IF so, $100 for material plus a couple hours labor included makes the $1200 seems less "ridiculous." I'm waiting to see some end user reviews and then we might look at it for a client of mine. If its on par with OE then the costs are what they are.

Well, I was hoping someone on this message board decides to pull the trigger and give us a review of the headliner before I buy one. Like George says, "If its on par with OE then the costs are what they are".

Btw. there are used ones available in Europe but I am guessing the cost will be a wash with shipping etc.

From my conversations with 2M it’s the exact replica fabric used with the OE. I’d have purchased this already however I’ve used up my budget for Car Mods this year…
