I'll look up the, "When to replace bolts" picture from BMW and post the examples. Is your torque wrench digital or mechanical?

Both. I go back and forth between a Snap On Tech Angle and a Tekton clicker that seem to agree with each other.

Would definitely be a helpful data point to have the BMW suggested specs, but cars that see track time really need accelerated maintenance schedules for everything. I think the Bimmerworld recommendation (replace with every brake change) might be a little aggressive for the normal track junkie, but there is a lot of experience behind that recommendation.

Bimmerworld recommends every season for full race cars. My car is dedicated track and sees 5-6 events a year I change them every other season.

          I use their race studs.

One thing that is often overlooked is cleaning the wheel and hub mating surfaces. Debris could interfere with a flush fit and add torque cycles to the bolts which shortens the life of the fastener.

This is actually a huge deal and we clean hubs at my dealer almost every time a wheel comes off. I've seen a lot of people in the past draw the wheel on with the bolts to overcome the resistance from the corrosion. That's worst case but cleaning all mating surfaces is definitely helpful.
