So I have a current project for an M3 wagon and I'm currently retrofitting the complete SMG system.
Currently, I have extracted all the wiring I need for the SMG system including the SMG body harness connector to the SMG DME. The final three wires in that connector ran into the car all the way to the passenger side under the carpet under the seat to a specific sensor only on SMG car is called the longitudinal acceleration sensor. It's mounted on the chassis facing forward towards the front of the car and is mounted in the same manner as the DSC MK60 yaw sensor on the driver side.
I ended up tossing my parts car and that was the only piece I didn't grab was that sensor
I was able to cross reference that sensor and find out that it's actually used on non-SMG car early MK60 non M cars for the DSC system and that sensor is mounted on the A pillar right above the EWS box area under the dash.
So I was actually able to get a replacement sensor pretty easily locally and confirm the same part number
The problem is now though I don't know how it mounts to the chassis. I don't know if there are studs or bracket that is pre-existing on the chassis or if I need to purchase that bracket to install the sensor
Trying to use real OEM has been really frustrating because I cannot find that sensor in real OEM specific on the SMG car. I can only find it in reference to the early non-M cars and even if you put the part number in, it never shows that it's part of SMG cars. Specifically, it only shows on the non m cars on the A pillar

I did find another post on NAM3forum or someone posted a picture of the same sensor from their SMG car asking what the sensor was and they posted a picture of the part number on it which ends in 95326
So my question is, Is there anybody with an SMG car that has a picture of the passenger side chassis floorboard under the carpet that shows that sensor and how it's mounted?
Or better yet, does anybody happen to have the carpet out on their non-SMG car and can verify if there is a mounting location for a sensor on the passenger side
I wish it wasn't this hard because normally I would just look up the part number for that sensor and see if there's an associated bracket for it and just order the bracket, but I can't find the sensor in real OEM for SMG specifically to do that
Thanks for any help.
