Edit: This issue has been solved. Retuned car on dyno and there was an issue related to the egr sensor that was causing the burble. Tune was corrected and burble is gone. Not sure why this triggered all of a sudden after a year of running fine but it is fixed now!
TLDR: Car throwing rich code on bank 2 so I put in a new upstream o2 sensor. Ever since replacing the o2 sensor and clearing codes the car now burbles on decel excessively when previously the car never had burble. Also the ecu refuses to let the o2 heater monitor set ready now even though if you check in mode 6 data with a scan tool you can see the heaters are functional.
Full breakdown: Car has is tuned with supersprint stepped headers, dual res sec 1, stock sec 2, agency power sec 3, and a drop in bmc air filter. No cats/rear o2 sensors turned off and secondary air pump deleted. Fuel filter done less then 2k miles ago. Injectors cleaned last 500 miles, vanos fully rebuilt, valves adjusted, new spark plugs last 3k miles.
Car was running fine for past year and never once did the exhaust make any popping or burble even when I got a P0175 for system too, rich bank 2. Even with the rich code active the car did not burble.
Diag for the rich code was as follows: I smoke tested with no leaks, no exhaust leaks, spark plugs weren't fouled, figured since the car had 130k miles and I wasn't getting any o2 specific codes maybe one of the injectors was stuck open so I pulled them and had them cleaned which yielded no fix to the rich code. So I replaced the upstream o2 sensor on bank 2 with a brand new bosch sensor which then cured the rich code on bank 2.
Ever since changing the bank 2 upstream o2 sensor I am now getting excessive amount of burble/ popping from the exhaust on decel in any gear. I had my tuner look at the car and they did not see any issues from within the tune that would be causing the overrun on decel.
Im at a loss for how to even diagnose this issue now over the burble. Does anyone have any insight on what could be causing this of a sudden?
