Ha! I wouldn't exactly call that a DIY. More of a "write all my convoluted thoughts out while they're still fresh in my mind" kind of thing.

I mean, yeah, but there's not much more to it with this one.

Remove interior trim, grind of paint, glue in panel, reinstall trim. I don't know how much I can add to what you already documented...

            Step 17:
Use spare s85 parts to apply pressure to bonded surfaces.

I guess I just don't have the correctly sized/shaped clamps. I tried doing the same thing and was unable to get any of my clamps through those holes and firmly seated.

Probably could use some vise grip 9ac in there.

Any chance you have a specific model number for the clamps you used?

Those are $2 c-clamps fastened onto shims.

Here are the dimensions of the clamps in that picture.

... At this rate, I should have made a DIY. Didn't think it would be useful at the time, so didn't take any pictures as I went... plus, working against the epoxy clock.

I should have gone out and looked for clamps that fit...

Oh well, the overcomplicated solution worked just fine.

Thanks OB and Heinz. Got mine done yday -- albeit, I put a lot less work into covering everything up hehe.

My interior got dirty but, I found my RIGID shop-vac cleaned up everything with ease. Just my 2c for those who don't want to go all-out with the "cocoon" method.

Starting to feel like I should split the rear bulkhead posts into their own thread.

Have you driven the car with it yet? How is it?

... I really need to get my car back together. Just been slammed with house construction work.
