Here ya go. Disregard the buzz box on the left, the newer version has it built in. Let me know if you have any questions.

What did you do for your temp sensor? Do you have any pictures?

Installed a radiator hose adapter for the temp sensor.

Looks good. Did you just go with the Mishimoto for appearance over the copper one on Auto Cools website? Also, I assume you're just using the 1/8'' NPT sensor listed on his website?

any downside to skipping this module and just wiring to the old AUX fan box?

I haven't looked into those fans; are they all brushed motor type or any of them using brushless motor? I expect there is brushless motor fan available out there.

1/8" NPT sensor from AutoCoolGuy. I already had the Mishimoto adapter is all.

No that will work great. I went with a PWM unit as I'm running both the Aux Fan and the Spal do to the 120 degree summer heat.

Spal makes quality fans, both brushed and brushless. The 2082 is a brushed fan.

                  I do believe it's a 38mm.

So why using brushed fan 2082 instead of a brushless unit? Cost too high?
A brushless fan fro this application is ideal, as it can dissipate the elec motor heat many times better than brushed type, more power for same size, and should last much longer as there are no brushes to wear out.

Good to know. I moved to Florida and that is a worry to me as well. Not sure if this fan would be suitable to keep the car cool if I were to get stuck in traffic at all.

Thanks for the info! And you're just using 12 gauge wire from the fan to 12v/the controller in the drug bin? Does the wire ever get hot? I assume the 2082 comes standard with 12 gauge. I contacted the Autocool Guy and he recommended the 85 amp controller based on the 2082 specs as he said it would run cooler. So I ordered that one with the 2082 fan, N15 brackets, temp sensor etc.

I wired through the aux controller, 2 wires and it looks factory to anyone that doesnt know whag theyre looking at. Works like a charm, easy and cheap. I made my own mounts out of aluminum stock, but the n15 mounts would look better. But they both work the same so ill keep my money on this one

How are you guys wiring these up? I almost did this then got concerned with the fan running properly to keep the temps down.

Can anyone provide documents on how they wired it up?

I found this for a basic overview. Using this controller anyways.

Heads up, VAC sells a pipe with a sensor bung that replaces the pipe between the thermostat and the elbow that bolts to the head. It's a tidy way to add a water temp probe.
