bimmer Sadly the coolant bleed instructions are no more. Do you have a copy of them?

I don't have a copy unfortunately but below are the steps I do...make sure you have rags on hand to place around the bleed screw to prevent coolant leaking on you and the car

1. Turn ignition (NOT engine) on and heat to highest setting
2. Crack open bleed screw and slowly add coolant/distilled water mixture (~2 gal)
3. Close bleed screw once coolant begins to leak out of it
4. Start engine and keep heat on high
5. Slowly open and close the bleed screw to release air as coolant gets up to temp
6. Once coolant is up to temp, slowly open/close the bleed screw one last time to let remaining air out
7. Slowly open/close the bleed screw after the next few drives to release any potential residual air.

It is a self-bleeding system. While above helps to do it faster, I guess - it will bleed itself in just couple of heat cycles.

I don't think it is. Have you seen that it self bleeds anywhere?

Our cooling system most certainly is self bleeding.
