Yes, the backing plate will need some light machining to get the spring clip on the bridge to fit. You know how much trimming is necessary by putting the ST pad backing plate against the Textar backing plate.

Backing plate needs a bit of clearancing where the silver spring clip on the bridge holds the pads in.

I use Hawk DTC70s which is the same FMSI pad shape and they slide right in. Or are the Textars not a standard FMSI shape?

Textars have slightly more backing plate material between those two holes at the top.

ST pads have less:
