What BMW dealer sites do you guys use other than fcp, bimmerworld, turner, ecs, etc.. which resells parts with less markup? also it seems like some dealer sites don't have parts in inventory and sources them from somewhere else leading to longer delivery times. Any tips are appreciated.

eeuroparts
autohausaz
rmeuropean
bmwdirectparts.com (dealer site - husker)
ebay - latvian/slovenian sellers have OE parts lower than most, just longer shipping wait times
schmeidmann - shipping cost can get up there, but much better pricing on factory parts
FCPeuro - not a fan anymore, but still a solid choice esp for continued use
ECStuning - Often times have the best price. Not great service or shipping/wait times, but great catalogue with pictures/part #s
Craigslist/facebook/forums - great finds and great prices often, just gotta be active and jump on a deal. I just got like new factory black chrome grills (e90) for $200 versus $600 retail on m3post.DD: /// 2011.5 Jerez/bamboo E90 M3 · DCT · Slicktop · Instagram
/// 2004 Silvergrey M3 · Coupe · 6spd · Slicktop · zero options

If you mean Genuine BMW when you say OE:
1: BMW Mini Parts Store (close to me, excellent service, pricing)
2: FCP (even if prices are higher and find a good video they put out, I'll pay for that to a degree but I don't broadly accept their higher prices in exchange for their warranty)
3: ECS if I am willing to accept the risk of poor service, wrong shipment, damaged shipment and/or I just can't get the part anywhere else (like OE Euro Parts, etc.)
For the OE equivalent (same maker as Genuine), lately I've gone to RockAuto.
TBone's comment on the Latvian/Slovenian sellers on eBay, I've had some email exchanges and wouldnt' hesitate to try them beyond my only purchase of a quarter window trim finisher, which arrived perfect just took a few weeks. They are worth checking out...( E-ACCA.com)Last edited by PSUEng; 08-28-2024, 02:37 PM.

I’ve been having really good luck with Schmiedmann as of recent. Customer service has been A1 and so are the prices. Plus, they can sometimes source some more difficult to get parts. Granted shipping costs are a factor, so are wait times due to overseas shipping, but if you're in no rush and have a big order to place, the discounts make up for it.
Otherwise, FCP/ECS/eBay/Bimmerworld have all been good to me, esp when I only need one or two parts.Last edited by sbay; 08-29-2024, 07:20 AM.‘02 TiAg/Impulse Slicktop

Lots of good advice here.
I'm in New Zealand so shipping situation is a bit different for me.
My general go-to is Schmiedmann as they have good availability, their stock tracking is accurate and generally for me they work out cheapest when factoring price + shipping in.
I also always check the Latvian/Estonian sellers on eBay as can get good deals, but unfortunately my good fortune is the reason several of them no longer ship flat rate to NZ 😆
Turner is also worth a check for me as their shipping price is sometimes better that Schmiedmann for certain shaped parcels.
Probably not very useful for you OP but putting here for others that might be elsewhere in the world.

If FCP sells it, I use FCP. If you're keeping the car for the long term, it just can't be beat-- almost everything for my car is "free" (plus inflation) at this point through their lifetime warranty. I probably average $2500 a year in FCP returns :P (oil changes for all the cars, SRF, 2-3 sets of track pads, rotors, plus any additional upkeep I'm doing that year).
If it's in stock, ground (free) shipping from FCP gets it to me overnight.

I really like FCP. I just wish they offered better shipping options to Canada. Buying a $30 item and then $50 shipping and then another $20-$30 in FedEx fees means that I just buy the much much higher part locally. The lifetime warranty, I haven't used. I would need to assemble a large amount of parts to make the return shipping worth it. Case in point, I have a pair of sway bar links that failed. They are $17 each. Shipping for them is $52. And I would spend $25 shipping them back to FCP to get $34 future credit. I don't need any other parts at the moment. So, I just bought new links locally for CAD$40 each.
I thought of buying brake kit too. But shipping for rotors is $170, return shipping wouldn't be much cheaper.
So, yeah, I'm jealous of my US brothers having FCP.2006 BMW M3 ZCP

... I'd feel weird about doing it in person.

Maybe I should try to buy more parts again and save up all the parts for the future.
Having an ability to return at least some would make the higher prices more palatable.
That said, I really like their staff and good customer service. And they do put out great video and newsletter content too.
I wish I could just send them labels to ship my stuff as I can get cheaper shipping rates. They are now too big for that.
