That's wild. I wouldn't pay anything more than what I did for it, let alone $6k.06’ E46 M3 ZCP | BBS | Recaro | Karbonius | Ohlins | Vorshlag | Turner | Kassel | IND | Status Gruppe | Macht Schnell | Whiteline | CSL | AutoSolution | Valvetronic

One of the most popular exterior modifications for the E46 M3 is installing the trunk lid from the famous M3 CSL. So if you have installed a CSL tailgate (or plan to) and would like to upgrade your license plate lights to genuine BMW LED units, you need a harness to convert the E46 plugs to accept the modern LED license plate

Amount has been updated to $2500 so the trunks are fine now. I just received an email from them after I asked them about my pending trunk order. They said it's okay to be processed now and will ship out when they come back in stock which on my order details is still showing end of May.Originally posted by ejendow View PostWith Schmiedmann announcing that they are limiting their US orders to an $800 maximum, that takes out the cheapest option. I wonder if the dealers are gonna match the Turner/ECS pricing.

I see it's about $2500 on Schmiedman and $2800 or so on ECS - doesnt that come out about the same with shipping (to the US)?Originally posted by Kipjames3 View PostI got mine from Schmiedmann. Worse part is waiting. Wait time for me was a little over 3 months. You might get lucky and buy right before they ship out a batch.

I paid low $2k for mine but right now it does look like they're a lot closer in price than earlier this year. I'm sure the tariffs have something to do with it.Originally posted by m1kesta View Post

ECS is also showing a delivery date of early October just like Schmiedman, so just keep that in mind.

Has anyone had any issues with the new batch trunks sitting close to the rear windshield? Mine nearly touches the glass.
Additionally, does anyone know what mounting point I need to adjust to push it further out? I have the mounting point where the 4 torx screws go maxed out, but it didn't move it out much.
I read through the long Slon thread to see if its mentioned there, but I couldn't find any more info on adjusting tips.

I previously measured the gaps when I did my trunk. The factory gap between rear windscreen and trunk is approx 3.8mm-4mm. If it's smaller than that, use a 13mm to loosen the rear bolt on the hinge (closest to rear windscreen) then tilt just the rear portion of the hinge upwards to add a little more space.Originally posted by ejendow View PostHas anyone had any issues with the new batch trunks sitting close to the rear windshield? In regards to pushing it out more, I haven't tried this, but you may be able to loosen all 13mm bolts slide the whole assembly towards the rear of the car a little.
Another method I used was to back all of the mounting screws off just 5%. This way when it was left alone, it was really stable, but if I pushed / pulled / bumped, the trunk hard enough, it would slightly move. After I got it where I wanted I would tighten everything down and check. Repeat as necessary.
