As you know the go-to for these sort of extension harnesses is Turner. There's no reason why you can't make your own, but the sticking point has tended to be sourcing a male MAF connector.
Good news is that I've finally located a source for these that lets you order singles. I ordered 5 as a check/test fit and can confirm that these appear to be identical to the item that Turner uses.
