I also absolutely hate putting the car on jack stands... my quickest method is two jack method that bigjae just spoke about.

Get 3 4x4 and make your own ramps. I made 4ish foot long low angle ramps and used some 1x1s as bumps to let me know that my wheel is on the flat part of my ramp.

I've used the plastic rhino ramps for over a decade, with no issue. Now I use a quick jack, not perfect, because relatively easy to do most things

Plastic ramps are probably fine as long as you don't use it on cement with a trowel-finish...

Can someone tell me the proper center jacking point in the rear where I can lift up the car so I can place jack stands? I've been doing it in front of the rear diff, but now I'm not sure if thats the right place?

Some use the rear differential itself. But IMO i would rather not damage the diff.

The best place is where the rear V brace bolts in the center of the car in front of the diff.

Are you saying where the yellow arrow is pointed in my picture? I always did it from the blue arrow. I am assuming both places are good?

Either work. The blue one is harder to get to with a normal jack pad and not bend the v brace. To properly jack from the blue arrow you would need a hockey puck or 2x4 to fill the gap between the v brace and the floor jack pad.

I use an AC DK13HLQ and ESCO shorty's. Of course these days, quickjacks are not much more $$.

I had to get a replacement plastic shield and picked up a $90 piece on eBay vs whatever the OEM price is. The benefit? It’s flexible enough to slide a low profile hydraulic jack under it without jacking on the side.

Oh! Is there a way to get to the yellow part with a regular jack stand? The way I lifted the car from the blue arrow point was the lift the side up enough to put a stacked 2x6 then rest the tires on that. Then I would move the jack to the rear and push it to the blue arrow with 2 hockey pucks stacked together. Don’t really like that method but it works for now.

all this talk kind of makes me want a quick jack system but not sure how you would access the car from the side.

I have a HF 3 ton low profile jack and 1.5 ton aluminum race jack. For front, I’ll use the race jack on one of the front side lift blocks to raise the car enough for the low profile jack to reach the center jack pad. Raise car, set jack stands on front lift blocks.

At this point my low profile jack will not reach the V-brace from the rear, so for 10 years I’d been reaching the brace from the side (see pic). Just need to make sure the jack handle isn’t in the way of the lift blocks.

This process takes about as much time as (or is possibly faster) than lifting with my quickjacks.

How high are you lifting the front that the jack won’t reach the rear? I’ve been doing a lot of maintenance work and have no issues lifting the front then the rear from behind the car.

I use the same setup. It works great as the jack will reach the front jack point (car is stock height). But I should have gotten a QuickJack setup when they were around $1100 back in the day.
