Any initial thoughts on quality? Looks decent enough from the photo

I also received mine this week. Everything looks okay, welds look good and look like they have good fusion (i'm not an expert, but they look solid)

It is 2.5” and has less aggressive angles than the RE pipe.
I’m more interested in how it changes exhaust tone with my setup.
Now why the f cant they make an SS V1 slip on version.

It looks and feels nice. I got the 200 cell cat version. In the online pictures the two pipes are attached together. Mine came separate. Maybe I’ll have the shop tack weld them together, I dunno.
For the price of everything the cats can’t be top notch.
          Fitment is the next test.

Thanks for letting us know. Yeah I would have used higher quality cats and charged a little more.

If they aren’t attached could you put the squiggly side on the drivers side for US catted headers? I’m seriously considering the 200 cell. Do you have any pictures of the cat inside?

Any sound clips yet? So far the only one is from the Bomiz Insta page.

I haven’t got it installed yet. I’m out of town this week. Also I tore my ACL 10 days ago so driving my manual car isn’t something I’m able to do yet. 😔

I saw that there were a couple of other people who received theirs. Have you guys installed it yet and if so, any sound clips?

Why not try a Z Pipe for this section, you might actually make more power. https://lpsfab.com/collections/formula-z

these have been shown to be a gimmick when tested properly

Fluid Motor Union did a dyno test on them, against their x pipe, it gained 3whp. That is 3whp over their X pipe, so against stock lets just say 5whp? Section 1 on e46 m3's don't make power, this has the potential to make power and SOUND better. Since this is all about sound thread, this part fits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smMdjIsnrPM&t=1s

Once you're past the where the primary pipes merge into a 3-1, or 6-1 etc the system really just shapes the torque curve below the peak torque rpm. If the system is overall highly restrictive then yes there can be gains at top end

                              So noting the observations

                              - 3hp (0.6%) is within the noise of system when you look at how the runs repeat back to back so there is nothing to see here from power perspective
                              - the Z lost the same or slightly more in the middle so it isn't scavenging better as that would be where a real difference would exist if it was scavenging better
                              - the X-pipe in question isnt even a good design due to the included angle (a necessary evil on a V8)

it makes perfect sense that nothing significant happens its fundamentally the same

                              The X-Y-Z-H pipe is not the place to spend uber money for topend power its a bottom end and mid range thing, probably do ok for IG likes;

The owner is a scumbag that went nuts on customers after a dyno was done proving this thing has zero gains. It's in the E39 M5 Owners FB Group. Do not recommend.
