Thank you. It's because I go into so much detail that knobs and reservoirs and guesswork is largely removed. The variables you can and ought to adjust then actually matter (in particular tire pressures, sway bar settings, alignment, and ride height). Plus, the beautiful ability to make subtle balance changes with packers / bump stop spacers (in particular on the rear dampers which are very readily-accessible). With an essentially neutral-handling setup, one or two packers under a rear bump stops are magical!

Yes, during 2020 I worked with Brett, an E39 M5 owner here in Norcal, to apply Ride Harmony (and some Race Synergy!) to his M5. He sprung for the FCM Elite Stage 3 Ultimate. 😉 It was the first M5 I'd done a build for. He gave me an update in November 2022 (the screenshot below).

Flat Ride is always the foundation unless and until I work on an F1 car (and even then I'm still tempted to see what's possible with Flat Ride!).

Yes, I did a setup in 2017 for a gent up in Canada. This was an FCM Elite Stage 3, prior to the latest enhancements with Stage 3 Ultimate and now the more efficient / higher-grip Ripple Reducer. Ride frequencies were in the 1.9 / 2.0 Hz range, a dual-purpose streetable track setup (or trackable street setup...!). He seemed very pleased:




So definitely possible to use a coil-over (and I'd say desirable, if / when implemented with Ride Harmony as the foundation) on the Z4M to improve performance and also have good ride. Dare I say, perhaps even better-than-stock ride, depending on the spring rates / ride frequencies we select during our consultation process.
