That's amazing to hear, I hope that light stays off! Let us know how RA goes buddy.

Small update, car is still running fine but I previously noticed a little bit of water would make its way into the DME/Brake master cylinder compartment and the drug bin at the corners of the hood when I washed the car or it rained. The upper hood sealing gasket (51718215919) was about 1 or 2 inches too short and did not go all the way to the ends on both sides not making a good seal. I was going to buy a used piece of the sealing gasket off eBay and cut 2 inches off to make mine longer for $20 but then I saw a new one was only $30 at FCP. I bought a new one and figured I would cut my old one up to make up the difference in size, well the new piece is 1 or 2 inches longer then the old one eliminating this problem. It seems at some point they have made that piece of sealing gasket longer probably to stop water ingress. If anyone gets water in these two spots buy the new longer sealing gasket.

They all have the same length, and shrink shorter with ages.
I don’t think a small leaking here allows water to enter the Dme box and connectors because the black plastic cover has good seal.

Ahh that would make sense that they shrink over time, a considerable and noticable amount too. The DME box is bone dry inside, but I could see water spots on top of the box so I wanted to make that compartment sealed as good possible from the elements since I was having weird EML problems in the past. Even after a huge rain storm last night the car is still fine, I think it's 100% fixed. For the record even with the old sealing gasket the DME box has always been bone dry inside, just something that was weighing on my mind to fix for cheap as I was diagnosing the EML.

I had this issue a couple of years ago, and it ended up being that the ECU had gone bad-- had zero water damage.

Replaced the ECU and haven't had it since.

I was suspecting it may be the ECU so I had a MSS54HP ECU clone made by The ECU Pro, they messed something up and their cloned ECU throws code "154 crankcase ventilation" on every start up, my car is a 2004. The exact problem stated in this thread https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/m...king-solutions . Another forum member reached out to help and said they could tune out the "PCV sucking jet pump" if I sent them my full and partial bin. I have extracted the full and partial bin and then that member has gone ghost, so now I am trying to figure it out on my own with no luck so far. It seems this thread is the solution but I do not know which software to use to delete the PCV sucking jet pump. https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/s...et-pump-delete

Yes so far so good, still no issues currently.

I was curious if swapping the DME would have any effect on the car so I put the cloned DME in, it was still throwing a CEL code "154 crankcase ventilation." I figured out that I could code out the PCV sucking jet pump using a HEX editor by changing line C166 from 01 to 00, it worked. While I was in there I also enabled shift lights on line 29CB by changing it from 00 to 01. All is good, the car runs great using both DME's now.

All good things must come to an end, bad news, the car is throwing EML/CEL/limp mode again as of yesterday. I had about 10 drives where the car was perfect and then today out of nowhere we are back in limp mode, and this is using the spare cloned DME so even that part can now be ruled out. I have a few new codes so maybe that can shed some more light on this problem.

Yesterday these codes were thrown on a cold start and then I cleared them, they have not come back today after about 100 miles. I can't remember ever getting these codes but I may have just forgotten, maybe o2 sensor related? Maybe related to coding out the PCV sucking jet pump on the cloned DME? I am going to put my original DME back in the car.
                        107 - Electric throttle: self-test
174 - Multiplicative mixture adaptation, cyl. 1-3 control limit reached
175 - Multiplicative mixture adaptation, cyl. 4-6 control limit reached
                        230 - Electric throttle: setpoint/actual-value monitoring

Today while driving the car about 100 miles the car threw an EML 3 times, cycling the ignition cleared it. The last EML was also accompanied by a CEL and the car went into limp mode, I did not cycle the ignition since I was a few block from home so I wanted to see what INPA would say and I got the same usual codes
118 - Electric throttle: signal, potentiometer, throttle
                        119 - Signal, potentiometer, servomotor
120 - Electric throttle: potentiometer, signal comparison
121 - Electric throttle: both potentiometers faulty

So it seems I am right back to square one again.

So I made it through the day with ZERO EML light issues. Just to recap what I've done that solved my issue:

2 years ago I change both tps AND the gas pedal.
2 months ago I changed the front tps sensor.
2 weeks ago I changed the icv after learning it control throttle up to 20%. Today is the first track day I've had this year where I didn't get an EML light

After changing all 3 I made it maybe a year before having intermittent lights. This year they've been constant though, until today.
