    TCK & rear shock bolt

TCK supplies a washer that is to be used with the rear shock bolt. When this washer is used the bolt does not have full thread engagement.

I *think* they want you to use the washer because if you don't when you tighten the bolt it wants to spin the "plate" on the inner side of the shock possibility distorting the bushing.

Any thoughts on this would be great, I tend to overthink simple things but I don't like loosing a couple threads when there isnt that many to begin with.

I may try to find a thinner washer but most this size are generally the same thickness.

Personally, I wouldn't worry over that 1 unused thread. Order a slightly longer 12.9 bolt off McMaster Carr if it bothers you.

I would go for a longer bolt.

rule of thumb is the bolt is at least long enough that there are three full threads past the joint.

Nice, I grab one, thanks! I put a thinner washer on and missing about 1 thread still.

Yeah for a critical suspension bolt like that might as well do it right. Get a proper washer with the appropriate hardness for a 10.9 bolt.
