I’ve ran Revshifts poly engine and trans mounts together, and neither gave me any NVH issues.

The bimmerworld rubber mounts are much stiffer than poly mounts. Hence why I’m asking if they get softer overtime.
I think he was pulling your chain...

At any rate, you've got 20+ recommendations here.

Being that you're the only other person besides myself who I've ever heard describe this exact problem as a "shiatsu massage chair" (I've been saying that since 2012), I recommend you bite the bullet and put stock trans mounts back on the car. If you can actually feel a decrease in some performance metric with healthy stock trans mounts, I'll buy you champagne. In the meantime, I'd almost bet money it will fix your vibration issues.

I wanted the response so I put it on the passeger side where the engine leans. I suppose if you wanted more comfort, put the oem on that side.

I may not be a good source for comparison here. I have driven the car maybe 2000 miles in the last 5 plus years since they were installed (3rd car, family, work, weather, projects on car having it out of commission for long stretches, etc). Recollection is it started out as a 7 NVH at idle and is now a 3 (0 is stock), some of that could be acclimation and the reflexive light pedal touch to raise idle as compensation. At 1k rpm I think it's as someone here said pretty much indistinguishable from what I recall stock was.

Did someone here recommend swapping out the Rogue trans mounts as a potential solution? I may be interested in trying this out if anyone has confirmed use of the BW engine mounts with different (stock?) trans mounts having no NVH issues.

These being properly torqued down to spec and not over torqued makes a big difference.Even the trans mounts being overly torqued can change the vibrations. I have BMW Group N mounts, A shop once touched the bolts for a job and I noticed vibrations after to my surprise.. I retorqued to spec and it changed things a lot.
So I would go over the install and see if over torqued, And yes I fully understand that a long through bolt design is known for this and these aren't, but heck if it didn't make a difference one could feel,

That's true. Same with the exhaust hangers to the studs. Oversquished raises the durometer; more nvh transmitted.

Does the type of champagne matter? I have an M3 with bimmerworld engine mounts and rogue trans mounts, so I’m game to test the theory. My other M3 has Gruppe N mounts and stock trans mounts.

What about the Rogue trans mounts? Worth it or just new OE?

Finest champagne that Walmart has to offer.

I think you'd need the same engine mounts on both cars for the experiment to be robust.

I’m going to swap in some new OE transmission mounts and see how it changes things… since that’s easier to do. Will report back with my findings because the vibration with the bimmerworld mounts and rogue transmission mounts is outrageous.

So still not checking the nuts were over tightened? As that would be the far easier and cheapest to do.

I tried that with my poly trans mounts when they vibrated my soul out of my body.

Multiple checks and re-checks of the torque on top and bottom. No change.

To recap: I had poly engine and trans mounts. Horrible vibration. Replaced only the trans mounts with stock and kept the poly engine mounts. Vibration 100% gone.

I had them on my E36. Replaced everything during a huge refresh on the car and specifically ordered OEM engine mounts from Bimmerworld, immediately noticed a lot more vibration so thought I overtightened them; retorqued and issue persisted. Ended up chasing my tail and replacing sensors and troubleshooting because it just felt like the car was idling poorly. For years it didn't have the silky smooth inline-6 feel it should have but never occurred to me I was sent the wrong engine mounts until there was nothing left to check. Turns out they were the solid rubber ones. Needless to say I was pissed.. changed to oil-filled OEM and it felt nice again.

To be fair it was only at idle they were noticeable. If I had known what they were from the getgo I'd have probably tolerated them more but FWIW they do not feel like stock.

Yeah, checked that. I’m pretty OCD so I even torqued to slightly under spec the second time around and no dice.

Had them fitted to my E46 about 500miles ago, at idle the car vibrates like shiatsu massaging chair on max power.

Didn’t have this issue with Revshift poly street mounts, please tell me the NVH on Bimmerworld ones gets better over time?
Chiming in with my experience: I had them on the car for a year in 2021, they did not get any better. It was unbearable for daily driving and once I went back to fresh stock mounts I’ll never do anything other than that
