Mine had a ship ready date of 1/28, which is now pushed back through the first week of February…

Here are a couple pics of Amazon vs original OEM on my 2002.

The clips I ordered from the dealer based on RealOEM were wrong so I reused the original.

Differences: the Amazon cowl has the grommets around the wiper motor post molded in (vs OEM cowl where the grommets were a separate piece). The Amazon cowl is missing a seal on the underside. Other than that it seems very similar.

Clip on right is original, left is that I ordered:

Hardest part of the job was getting the aluminum tapered shim out from the wiper arm :/

The seal is what seals the water from running down into the engine bay. Likely no a big deal, but definitely not ok. The clips which you ordered are correct - they are the inner part only.

I think the real market for these will be collision and windshield replacement shops. The one time I had water incursion was on my Allroad 4.2 right after I had a windshield replaced. It was from an improperly installed seal — the smell of the water tipped me off before any computers could get wet under the passenger wheel well.

For this car, I’ve replaced this part with OEM back in the day but I’m sure I’ll need to do it again. Nothing about it said “once in your ownership fix.” So my view is if they fit, assume they’ll be like brake pads and move on with life, have a good day.

Best way to do that is the push the wiper FLAT to the windshield... then rock left/right (west/east). They come out in like 15 seconds. The key is to PUSH THE WIPERS FLAT. This takes the tension off of the nut.

That worked for the drivers side. Pass side was a bear.

Don't push to hard or you can break the windshield

Has anybody received their ECS/Turner one yet? Mine still hasn't shipped out. Wonder if it differs from the Amazon ones at all.
