Strut Mounts not available- options?

As I stated in the title, the front strut mounts have an availability issue. The left side is on "extended backorder," with no ETA. The right side is available. This is for the US- I found them in Canada, but they won't ship to the US.

So what are my options? There is no Lemforder or Corteco alternative that I can find. There is a Chinese option which I would not trust. I'm a little concerned about going to camber plates just because I can't get strut mounts, especially for a street car.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I know what you mean, but with the prices on factory parts being so high, maybe it's not that bad just skipping straight to some nice camber plates. I would get TMS or GC street options - they're fantastic and don't add much NVH.

Do you have direct experience with either? How are they on bad roads? I'm in the Philadelphia area- we don't have nice roads like southern California.

But the E90 mount is smaller foot print, smaller spring pad, I don't think it's angled the same as E46, and I don't think it's offset the same, but I could be wrong, just going off memory of both since I own both cars.

Do you have direct experience with either? How are they on bad roads? I'm in the Philadelphia area- we don't have nice roads like southern California.

I have TMS street on my E46 and GC street on my E90. Both are fantastic.

While not ideal... used looks like only other option besides the other 3.

1. Waiting on BMW backorder
2. Finding NOS BMW or Corteco (49367470, corteco part # for drivers side)
3. Going down Aftermarket route

I haven't tried to fit it up but I do remember Dinan allegedly using an E36 strut mount or part of it with their stage 1 sping kit. They roughly look about the same.

I highly doubt these are available in Canada if they aren't in the US. Where exactly in Canada do you see them available?

Nope not at all. I don't really go on bad roads, and I swerve to avoid a lot of shit that's out there, but it's nothing awful.

I would equate it to spherical RTABs. Yes a bit harder/firmer/harsher, but not really that much. Versus solid/poly engine or tranny mounts which is massive NVH downgrade.

I have spherical RTABs and did not find much difference from stock in terms of NVH. If it’s like that, then I can live with it. I’ve had camber plates on a different car with just spherical bearings and it was punishingly bad.

GC street plates do clunk - it's a well known issue. I've experienced it first hand with two separate kits as have several other members.
