Undercoating recommendations needed

If i recall, the order: seam sealer the welds etc, then self etch primer. I THINK I applied the Light Green 62233, and last the Chip Guard. Reddish has a video on this. I followed their recommendation.

This has me confused..

Shouldn't seam sealer be added after the primer? Primer to prevent moisture and rust, seam sealer, then top coat if desired?

I'm also going back and forth on primer vs something like por15 paint
