I recently bought a pressure gauge, an adapter and a bango bolt - the banjo, adapter and pressure gauge all fit together, but I have not tested on the car yet. This is the gauge I picked up:Originally posted by TR_Beastmode View PostTo measure the oil pressure, are the Lang and MLR kits my only options? I’m seeing both as sold out. I found An old thread about somebody making their own kit for it but that sounds sketchy lol

Beautiful, thank you. Going to order some crush washers from FCP as well and give it a go. I’m also seeing that red loctite should be used to seal the gauge into the adapter, but can’t find which kind exactly. Loctite 271?Originally posted by ~CSL~ View Post
I edited the original post the the names - the last two were on amazon, confirmed the M10 x 1 here. The gauge was from Brice Barclay

It is not my intention to red loctite the gauge onto the adapter - this is only a temp assembly for me.Originally posted by TR_Beastmode View Post

Getting the adapter in SS would be a better choice if this is a concern.Originally posted by TR_Beastmode View PostI’m also trying to find pressure specifications for the adapter and banjo. I’d rather not die from an adapter flying through my skull. Bleeding out on top of an S54 isn’t the worst way to go out though I guess

I rewatched Imrans video with Dr Vanos from a couple years ago and he mentioned something about how shuddering during takeoff with SMG cars can come from the Vanos. That is something that I feel periodically, not every time I’m accelerating from a stop. It’s a fairly significant shuddering that stops once I hit about 2k rpm. Always attributed it to my clutch or something with my diff, and the car stopping with gears or the clutch engaged perfectly on a worn part. Is that something you guys have heard about, it coming from the Vanos?

Try resetting the engine and SMG adaptations.Originally posted by TR_Beastmode View PostI rewatched Imrans video with Dr Vanos from a couple years ago and he mentioned something about how shuddering during takeoff with SMG cars can come from the Vanos. Im curious, if you go out to your car with it warm and in Neutral and have somebody just tap the accelerator, say from idle to 1100-1200 rpm, just momentarily (blip the throttle) do you hear a "rattle"? This is not the usual Vanos Rattle - its the one you shown in this thread:Originally posted by TR_Beastmode View PostI rewatched Imrans video with Dr Vanos from a couple years ago and he mentioned something about how shuddering during takeoff with SMG cars can come from the Vanos. My car is making this noise just off idle. It's a grinding noise that I can hear and feel - feels like it's coming from the front/vanos area. I have all the VANOS fixes installed. - Only audible coming off idle, goes away at ~1100RPM - Not heard at idle - Not heard at any engine speed higher than ~1100RPM - No codes or issues,
