And/or nix the sliders and use the BK direct to floor mounts to save another ~10 lbs.
62 lbs is a ton of weight to take out of the car in one mod! I only measured ~59 lbs from my Nogaros, but they're leather/heated.

blame those expectations on all the vendors and social media channels out there that weigh a complete stock seat and then compare it to a bare aftermarket seat while ignoring all the hardware needed to bolt it onto the car when they advertise your potential weight savingsLast edited by usdmej; 06-13-2022, 11:08 AM.

Cf roof is the next big mod, and im pretty much done. Then it's little things. I have a CSL trunk going in too thats quite light as well. Seats are best mod after the CSL intake.
Obioban would love the CF nogaros, but they are literally half the purchase price of my car.Last edited by CrisSilberGrau; 06-13-2022, 12:34 PM.2006 Silber Grau Metalizat ZCP 6 MT

if i remember correctly, the Nav headunit is connected to the nav brain in the trunk (which is wired to the vehicle). So it makes sense you lost some function by deleting just that.
the easiest (possibly only) way of deleting the whole trunk assembly while keeping car wired audio is to to run/wire an Avin (or any other aftermarket) unit directly to the vehicle and bypass all of the factory wiring

I have all the parts to convert my car to business CD, wiring harness included so I can remove the nav one. Will be starting on that endeavor in a week or so, already have the interior removed. I think it should save a decent amount of weight based on this thread (20+ pounds?) and return some trunk space too (I bought the compact carpet liner).
Avin is an option but I was very unimpressed with the one I bought for my E39 a couple months ago and just want a dumb car with no screens these days.

But even with sunroof motor, sun visors, dome lights, etc you dont net more than about 35-40lbs. Still, like you said, farthest from cg. Roof, from what I gathered, might be another ~10lbs, for more carbon $.
