What did you do for your M3 today?

no significant mechanical work today. but it got the dust washed off and carpro elixir quick wax after a minor paint correction, collinite wax, and finished with P21 carnuba. then I went and drove the piss out of it for the first time since the RACP reinforcement project, ohlins R&T, and new PS4S (I was on 12 year old supersports).

What an absolute transformation. I don't have the front bar connected because the SPL endlinks were noisy, but I really didn't mind it without. The car absolutely dances compared to the nervous handling prior to all the work. I hadn't driven it like this in so long I forgot how exciting this platform can be. Over 7k RPM is an absolute glorious frenzy, but this isn't anything people here don't already know.

Weighted gooseneck shifter today. Between that and the Eventuri carbon box and intake the car is even nicer to drive.

Yep, with a (iirc) 5mm spacer up front. Honestly I can't remember if it rubbed the fender liners.

Thanks and yeah, that probably would rub a little because the rear OE 18 with a 255/40 does rub at a certain turning angle.

I am shopping for a GX of that vintage currently, damn near pulled the trigger on one of the last BaT ones.

I knew these had a following, but damn these are expensive as hell for a 20 year old car.

Keep hoping I'll run into somebody that doesn't know what they have type situation. I am just not into buying a new car with a stupid high compression ratio/F.I plus endless modules etc., I just don't see many new engines going 300k+ miles like the GX can.

Thanks! I feel like I bought one a little late but just before the recent price surge (probably because of the GX550 and its TTV6).

Yeah, it's either going to be finding one from someone who doesn't know, someone knowing someone who is looking to sell one (and doesn't know) or maybe a dealer trade in.

I moved one of the M3s out of the garage... and finally installed an APR carbon intake and APR Stage 1 tune on the SQ7. Absolute monster.

Lowering and some camber should help, but it looks a bit much with 12mm spacer in the back right now IMO. Less and less into the herrafrush look these days.

Gave it a quick indoor wash to clear off all the dust. This was the first time i've done an indoor wash, not sure how I didn't think of doing it before.

I would love a CSL harness, my flap setup is OK, but not great, would love the real deal. Did you find this used online somewhere?

Looks great! What kind of tint and percentage is it?

Xpel 50% ceramic. It seemed to be the best compromise between privacy and interior visibility.
