Hit the 1,200 mile mark after completing my rebuild. Got it tuned yesterday by the one and only HassanEido. After a year and a half of sitting, saving, and researching…I can finally say, I did it. 8K has never felt better. Would I buy a car with a blown engine again? Probably not. Was it worth it? Hell yeah.
Swapped in a new gear position sensor, new diff rear cover, fresh diff oil and installed the yurkan cages 6 point RACP brace. Dropped the subframe enough to get the front studs out and then put it back up into place. Dad turned a long drill guide and we were able go through the center of the bushes which was much easier than having to swing the whole subframe out of the way. Pleased to have got that all sorted in a weekend!
Realized my slow tire leak was likely from 12 year old tires. Found some used PS4S for a great price and got them mounted and balanced for $45 a wheel, which seems like a lot nowadays…
I experimented with eBay headlight lenses since they were so cheap, but alas they yellowed after 2 years, and some bird poop etched on one of them after 1 day. Installed fresh OE lenses this morning. Fought with new lens gaskets, couldn't get one of the clips to snap over, ended up keeping the old ones in, they still seemed in good shape.
Gotta admit, not much I care about in terms of other people's mods, but I'm jealous on this one.
At the end of the day it’s really not going to make or break overall performance as we all know, but just a bucket list item to check off I never knew I wanted or needed… opportunity presented itself so I sold a kidney.
Finally unpacked everything… behold! Full CSL LHD headers through Section 3. Thank you to a certain NAM3 member that helped get this accomplished. 16K miles on this exhaust system.

It's insane how years of driving the M4 CS, M4 CSL and a bunch of other modern makes/models makes the E46 M3 feel downright tiny. I feels vintage wonderful.
I’ve been seeing your posts outlining the progress of your build. This looks incredible. Very well done. What a thrill to take delivery of this!
Standard BBS E46 M3 fitment brand new from BBS Japan. I always retain factory rake which is a bit more gap up front relative to rear. Level not dragster raked.
Gracias! M classic.
Mine are the same as well but do not sit that flush up front. Wonder why LOL. Might have to get some spacers or maybe lower it more and reduce the camber. What are you center to edge of fender ride heights and camber settings?
Looks gorgeous! I guess i'll be lowering mine a tiny bit more as I have the exact same in JB with the LMs.
Your LMs sit way more flush though, custom?
