CSL Diffuser options

Diffuser looks great. Any adjustment on the AP muffler? It needs to come up quite a bit, especially the right side.

You are correct. Noticed rubber hangers are shot. Next DIY! ;-) Or I'll just have shop do it. Looks like diffuser does not need to come off to do job, which is a positive.

anyone know if the happybuyitnow / euromotorsport CSL style diffusers are typically FRP backed and only carbon topped in the center portion if painted?

As much as I prefer quality parts that last, the idea that the price difference between the "best" diffuser parts and a plastic knockoff is an entire set of tires gives me facial ticks.

This is an unstressed component, which in my mind is 100% cosmetic (there's no real amount of downforce change by swapping to the CSL style). I do prefer the look of the exhaust tips being tucked under the protrusion of the CSL style part, but I don't really care that much about the exposed carbon (I have a black car that doesn't show carbon that well anyway). I found the turner ABS piece as an option, but from the pictures it appears that they tried to give it more aggressive styling which I don't like.

Is there basically a CSL plastic rep part that will fit and cost $1000 less than vorsteiner/MEC?

Not really.

Anything cheap fits like shit.

You can gamble with ebay ones, but you may or may not get lucky... and even the ones that 'fit' need massaging.

Unfortunately this is one of those things where you get what you pay for.

There's a reason why the eBay diffusers look terrible.

It's a lot for a diffuser but you really wanna throw a part on your car that looks crooked all the time?

All the eBay ones are made by the same manufacturer from the same mold and that mold has quite a few noticeable issues.

This is a piece where I would go for a high quality rep like MEC or stick with the stock diffuser. Since this is a part that rarely gets damaged (unlike front bumpers and splitters), you can list it for sale if you change your mind or if you want to go back to stock.

I bought a cheap one and it fits pretty meh. In the end it was probably $850 for the diffuser and paint. So not exactly "cheap" nor does it look great.

Buy once, cry once.
