    Adjustable Rear Camber Arms

Anyone have experience with the BImmerworld adjustable camber arms?

I'm also trying to understand how difficult it is to adjust camber with the stock exhaust in place.

No experience with either of them, but the Ground Control arms have all of their adjustment at the outer ends, and also use monoballs.

I couldn't find where anybody had verified the Ground Control bearing manufacturer, so I went with the Turner arms (with bushings) that also adjust at the outer ends, to replace the TC Kline arms currently on my car.

The GCs are steel rather than aluminum and Turner is backordered till August.

Don't have experience with those, but I think getting to the inner nut will be a pain.

        Thoughts on ECS ones?

Although be careful about what they send. Mine came all scratched up and one of the bushings was not pressed in correctly.

        Youtube DIYs and more

All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

I’m running GC. No issues and easy to adjust.

Edit: I emailed Forest at GC and asked what bearings (April 2020). His response was they use Lemforder and Delphi for their ARCAs, for whatever that is worth.

I would trust Bimmerworld stuff. The stock arms suck. There is barely any room for adjustment. The exhaust is not in the way during an alignment. The adjustments are at the wheel for camber. Toe is just moving the spindle where it bolts to the body. You'll need a pry bar for that.

Unfortunately, not on the BWs. One of the jamb nuts is right above the exhaust. I'd like to know if it is possible to get at that while getting an alignment. BW says that it is, but most of their track cars have a single pipe section 2 and that allows for a bit more space to adjust.

Towards the end of this video (1:07:00 or so), there's a couple decent shots of how the assembled rear end looks with eibach camber arms. I know you specifically asked about bimmerworld, but the eibach arms look like they have a jamb nut that's located even further into the subframe than the bimmerworld ones. I have no idea how you would get a wrench onto that nut, even with the exhaust removed.

Maybe the idea is to loosen the jamb nut closest to the wheel, then loosen the center section of the arms and then turn the inner jamb nut by hand (which should have no torque on it at that point).

Bump. Did you end up with the Bimmerworld arms? I want to put them on my car for this upcoming year because my stock arms maxed out at around -1.3 degrees. Also running stock section 2 and muffler and don't want to have to remove all that for an alignment.

If I recall, Obioban said that they are adjustable with the stock section 2, but maybe he can elaborate on how he accesses the upper jamb nut.

BTW, the ball joints used on the BW arms are Febi (Bilstein), so an OEM manufacturer which is nice.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I am sold. The bearing was my other concern!

i just replaced the ball joints on the GC arms. The old ones were some no-name brand. The replacement ones they sent were OEM. They were OEM ball joints with a flat spot where the set screw is positioned.

I have the Turner arms. Super easy to adjust, need a 24mm wrench for the jamb nuts. Should have one anyway for the tie rod jamb nuts.
