Another data point, I'm running ARC-8 at 19x9 et28 up front and only 2.0 degrees camber (and really could do less camber), no rub at full lock. Which is to say I'm not sure that et37 is "perfect" or that et28 is stance nation.
Hopefully these new wheels will be specifically designed based on E46 M3 lug bolt specs which the RAC wheels were:
Pulled from the RAC GB thread:
The wheel Lug Bolts on the E46 M3 have these specs:
a) A 17 mm hex head design used to tighten or remove the bolt
b) A 'cone seat' type collar to secure the wheel to the hub properly
c) It must have the same bolt diameter sizing as the OEM lug bolt (12mm)
d) It must have the same thread pitch as the OEM lug bolt (1.5)
e) The thread length on the the stock OEM lug bolts is exactly 24mm*
*There is some wiggle room on this spec, but only about 1 mm for trouble free operation. Any more than that could cause problems.
Threads should engage at least 6 full turns into the hub. If the thread length is too long: it will interfere with the parking brake mechanism and or wheel speed sensors on the car. If the thread length is too short: the wheel will not be secured to the hub properly, and could result in the loss of a wheel while driving. (worst case scenario)
