Just got triggered by "exhaust heat shield." Ha. Not so bad now but the first time I struggled for far too long.

Opened up the wire loom so I can drop the post cat 02 sensors down the drivers side of the engine. I need to get some corrugated tubing first, thought I had some, evidently not.

My Innovate LC-2 Wideband AFR monitor arrives Monday, looks as though I have to weld on a new bung to the euro headers.

Headers installed, bung welded in for the innovate wideband, driveshaft reinstalled plus I should have everything else back together tomorrow (big heat shield, section 1, section 2, plastic bits, wiring, etc.)

She's back. 3.91 diff (I love this ratio), euro headers, euro section 1, 76mm tips, pre/post cat O2 sensors routed properly and insulated, and lots of little bits refreshed. I discovered a bad bushing on passenger side lower rear just as I went to lower the car. Ordered four new ones from rock auto. No exhaust leaks, no codes, all good. I'll throw a euro tune on soon, but I'm surprised how good it runs on the USA version. Exhaust sounds great.

Phase two is the Karbonious airbox and all the associated goodness.

Since I now have euro headers and section 1 I installed the euro program/tune 211323002001J424.

1. Get the MSS54 DS2 Tool https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/m...sh-counter-etc
2. Go to "DME Read" in the app.
3. Back up the Tune
4. Back up the program
5. Make sure your battery is charged and stable. I recommend power supply mode on a charger if you have one.
6. Download the Program "Full 211323002001J424.bin" from https://github.com/saildot4k/MSS54-X...20Full/MSS54HP
7. Download the Tune "211323002001J424 (EU3 6MT).bin" from https://github.com/saildot4k/MSS54-X...MSS54HP%20Bins
8. Go to "DME Programming" in the app.
9. Under "write program" select the "Full 211323002001J424.bin" you just downloaded and click "write program".
10. At completion I received an error message "program control: 'finalize programming' returned verify byte 0x0E. program and data references do not match'. I ignored this, perhaps because tune is not yet loaded.
11. I exited and restarted DS2
12. Go to "DME Programming" and under "write tune" select "211323002001J424 (EU3 6MT).bin" that you previously downloaded. Click "write tune".
13. You're done. You can check your version under "DME Info". Big thanks to karter16 and his helpers for creating this.

Nothing big today. Dinan ignition coils and new crankcase pressure regulator. Preventative maintenance. I'll keep the old one as spares. It was a mixed set of old and new which was fine, but i had the coils so why not.

New windshield cowl and hood grill installed. Soaked both pieces in 303 for a couple of hours before install. I'll keep the old ones and I let them soak in 303 for a couple of hours as well.
