In packs of 100 for like $12, but then you need the right tool to crimp them on.

Thankfully, I have both. I can send you a pigtail with new contacts which you can solder on to the torn wires.

      Email me at support@bluebus.dev

      Thanks!

I'm not too familiar with the A2DP profile (or Bluetooth in general really), but anyone know if there is a way to request the current time from another device?

I would love to hack something into the BlueBus's firmware so that everytime the car turns on, the BlueBus gets the time off of the phone it connects to and sets the car's time. I've been disconnecting my battery quite a bit recently and setting the time using the gauge cluster is really annoying.

Quick Google search leads me to believe requesting time from another device is not part of any Bluetooth protocol, but I figured I would ask in case that's wrong.

Sorry -- should have added "BlueBus in split screen mode" -- but thanks for sharing.

There's no way to tell if the MMIV is in split screen mode, which impacts the indices that are writable, so I just enforce a layout that doesn't cast doubt.

For what it's worth you can see a picture or two of split screen mode here: http://www.alextronic.de/bmw/project...o_ibus.html#_9

            Thanks Ted.

Thoughts on adding this in later firmware versions? Maybe add as one of the Settings items under "UI" where mode options would be full screen and split screen. If split screen option is selected in the BlueBus menu then full screen mode is selected in the nav menu mode, then the display will just be cut off (right side is "empty"). Meanwhile, if full screen option is selected in the BlueBus menu then split screen is selected in the nav menu mode, then was wondering if the nav setting will "overwrite" the characters on that side. This is just a thought with no basis on what is actually possible on the system (which "setting" gets priority, etc. as I have no idea at the moment how this works) but was just thinking aloud from a user perspective. Anyway, hope you can add to your (long?) list.

I'm betting it was pins 37 & 38... They refused to come out for me and I had to slit the tops of their slots to get past where the pin retainers were hanging up about 1mm inside the connector. The other 4 pins came out easily.

First of all, thank you for all your hard work to make this happen! 😀 Can't wait to install and use the Bluebus!!

Do you have any update when my order #139 is shipping?

                  Greetings from the Netherlands,

                    Jeroen,

You're not far down the list. I expect your unit will ship this Monday. This weekend, the wife and I are going to test and ship all units that I have programmed this week (60+). For what it's worth, all units shipping at this point are coming with a case.

                    Thanks!

                      Ted,
Just as an FYI, Windows Defender is identifying your firmware update tool as a Trojan (see screenshot). It didn't when I first downloaded it but did today, so I assume it was some definition update.

Thanks for the heads up! The Firmware tool is a packaged up Python script, so it's probable that some malicious script was packaged the same way and is causing the false positive. I'll see if there's anything I can do about it.

                        Thanks!

Ted, finally got around to installing the bluebus today. Having previously installed an icelink, pretty much all I had to do was unplug the icelink and plug in the bluebus (as I wasn't using the TCU). Took more time unpacking the trunk than doing the install!

Love the product. Thanks for all the effort you put into making this a reality.

                          Best,
                          David

Not all orders were paid for or have a BlueBus on them (some are just cables). Regardless, you're still waiting :x
