Hey Ted what are the odds you could have one of your units work with the CD54 unit?

We do not have CD54 units in the U.S.

Ditto!

I really can't fully express what a pleasure it's been interacting with Ted on his BlueBus product development! I experienced some minor issues with metadata display on the CD53 and he promptly modified the firmware to address them. I can't fathom that he's done all this design & development work single-handedly; this would normally be a significant project for a dedicated team, not just an individual. Kudos!

It does help that I have had 2 years to develop this, plus the fact that it's just me means that there's no red tape, or project managers to encumber me (sorry project managers! :P).

Hey guys --
Just wanted to make an update post on a few things:
* I am 70 units away from sending out all 500 initial units. The ones waiting right now have been waiting on the TCU adapter, which took forever to get in stock.
* Cases are coming in at a steady rate now, so I expect to have all cases and cables that are outstanding shipped in the next 14 days.
* If you are waiting on your BlueBus shipment and are not based in the U.S., Canada, or the U.K., then you're going to be waiting sometime for your unit as USPS is having trouble delivering internationally due to COVID-19.
* I have made firmware improvements!
The latest firmware is here: https://t3ddftw.s3.us-east-2.amazona...us_1_1_9_3.hex (You will either want to Right Click > Save Link As or save the file once it loads in your browser)
Firmware update instructions are here: https://github.com/tedsalmon/BlueBus...rmware-Upgrade
At a high level the following issues are fixed:
* Business CD Metadata is now consistent, especially when skipping tracks
* Comfort features can now be activated via the CLI
* Call Quality has been improved. The BT audio path is now used for calls when in Bluetooth mode. This means that quality is "crisp", unlike the TCU audio path. The TCU audio path remains available for non-Bluetooth modes
* The 762 microphone is now supported! This is in part because I enabled cVc (Clear Voice Capture), but also because of using the BT audio path. Anyways, it has been repeatedly tested and no echo can be heard anymore.
* Telephone status reporting is now more consistent, so you only get the Telephone screen when applicable
* The "Dashboard" on Navigation units works a lot better now and consistently writes 40 characters per line. It also doesn't trigger the EWS in E38/E39 vehicles anymore (long story...)
As always, please share your feedback, good and bad. Bad feedback helps the product improve and evolve!
P.S. Sorry if I have been slow responding to emails. Life is crazy, and I'm trying to get these BlueBus units out of my house with every spare second I have

Thanks for the update Ted! Looking forward to getting the TC setup. Everything has been working great and BT connection is seamless every time.
I'm not sure if this is a normal feature of One Touch Blinker for the stock LCM, but is it possible to add a cancel option if we click the stock in the opposite direction? Sometimes, another person is deciding to change lanes as well and I have to cancel the 5 blink turn signal. Otherwise, I could always turn it down to 3 blinks lol.Last edited by Slideways; 05-20-2020, 11:15 PM.
