Nothing related to this touches the DME tune.

e.g. My brembos are slightly more front biased than stock, but my car is slightly front heavy shifting the bias rearward, so the non ZCP setting should be pretty perfect for my car.

A properly set up bbk shouldn’t feel “stronger”.
Anyone know how the stock (non-ZCP) bias compares to the bias with the 996 conversion?

Is this coding the same as "CSL MK60 Parameter" being sold by 3dm?

The description on 3dm reads exactly like what M Track mode enablement does. Had an E60 M5 that had this mode standard, and when I got my E46 M3 I hated how much the standard system intervened. It was one of the first things I programmed as soon as someone made the instructions to do it, and it matches very closely with how it worked in the M5...you can get a little more drift on the rear end going without getting completely out of hand. U-turns under power are a lot more interesting.

That's what i figured. Is the CSL rack and brakes the same as the ZCP?

I thought the CSL had a different king pin. Would this affect the DSC coding in any way?

They are, but you can code those independently, so it doesn’t matter.

              Kingpin doesn’t matter.

Awesome. Just coded this now using NCS Expert version 4. Luckily our cluster had the M track symbol LED already.

This was actually my first time using NCS Expert, I understood the fundamentals but navigating the menus was a little confusing. The instructions written up were great but don't match the wording in version 4. For those of you endeavoring to go down this path, all the instructions are easily mapped to version 4 except the stage where it asks you to press "SG/SGET", in NCS Expert version 4 this the "Change ECU" button.

looks like the zcp bias is nearly the same as the 996 conversion according to this table:
                  https://thebuildjournal.com/tech-gui...-chart-e46-m3/

                  will add this mod next

                  stock 1:54.1 – 60.6%F 39.4%R
                  zcp 1:38.1 – 58 %F 42 %R
                  996 1:39.1 – 58.1%F 41.9%R

                      2004 SMG yes.

I *think* it's something like around or after 9/04 the manuals got it. *Dont quote me.
SMGs had it very early on.
There's also two versions of the cluster symbol iirc. A 3/4 closed circling Arrow. And the less common S with the arrow around it.

The one we have is the 3/4 closed circling arrow.

When I turn my car on, DSC doesn't turn on it with it so I'm always in track mode.

I very much want to do this but don't have the balls to write any changes. I copy/pasted my FSW_PSW.TRC file to another location on the computer in hopes I can somehow load that if I "mess something up".

I got to the part where you add "$7MA" to the Attributes under "Enter FA" but exited out of that and the program sweating bullets. I see that each time I "go in" it creates a new FSW_PSW.TRC file, it writes over the previous one that is

Am I correct in the assumption that until I change the Job to "FA_WRITE" and click "Execute Job" I am not actually changing anything? And yes I will be sure and read back through terra's Getting Started With NCS post in the coding section.

My download of NCS came from bimmergeeks.com and some of the buttons look slightly different but I was able to produce every menu/option in this tutorial. Maybe I should try my version from pss autosoft and see if it looks more similar to the version of NCS in this tutorial. Also, still looking for Fister profile, I do have revtor.

I went through the same issue. Other than the discrepency I noted in the post above the button postion matches up based on the screenshots.

Maybe someone more experienced with NCS could volunteer to help over Zoom and take more updated screenshots for the DIY. I should have done it while I was doing it but I was also sweating bullets and wasnt thinking.
