Bavsound Review

Following up here - I did the Bavsound and Rockford fosgate 6x9 upgrade: They sound awesome!!! My setup is: Avin Avant 4, factory radio was non-nav, and nothing else.

Now I'm facing the following problem: The Harmon Kardon carrier is vibrating like hell when turning up the bass. I have the tennis balls still shoved up and under the deck as always, and have verified that it is this actual box: I took the box out while the car was on, and played music with it out and still connected. The box itself is rattling like crazy.

Anyone have a fix for this?

It’s funny how several posts stated that these made NO difference. The additional bass these 6x9’s produce brought additional rattles. I think the difference is I have the Carphonic’s Stage 2 50w amp upgrade.

The plastic enclosure vibrates against the metal trunk. The electrical connector rattles and the two white plastic clips rattle.

The easy fix for the two plastic clips is to use a glue gun and secure them in place so they don’t vibrate. Zip Ty the electrical connector to stop it from rattling.

Once you do those two items turn on some music with some good bass and lay up inside the trunk (not fun btw) and check for rattles around the enclosure. I found my enclosure was vibrating on the back side. You can use something to shim it so it’s tight or remove the enclosure and add some additional padding in that area.
