Plenty of threads on various aspects of some things working and not working, but I have a specific case which doesn't seem to have been covered. I have a nav system with H/K. Everything works, with the exception of the multi-function buttons on the steering wheel. My car is a ZCP and it came with a ZCP wheel (just the 'I/O' button on upper trim), and an aux kit the previous owner installed. Early on, the I/O button and the horn worked on the wheel, but since replacing the steering wheel (wanted a rewrapped wheel as the ZCP wheel's alcantara has morphed to the 'hairless molerat' state), only the horn works.
I've replaced the upper trim with another multi-function model, slip ring, and added Bluebus in the past month (Bluebus is awesome btw... the basics really are all you need: AD2P music, the ibus changes - blinker settings and unlock functions)... the second multi-function trim didn't help, nor did the slip ring. But throughout the 'testing,' the constant is the horn function, which remains functional, but nothing else on the multi-function set. (the I/O button no longer works either since swapping out the wheel) I assume a connection from the headunit to the steering wheel has been changed in the past, but pinging for some feedback before I take on the task of opening up the dash area to test the wiring.
