Anyone running rear stock 18s square 255s? The rears clear really well, so why not just put rears on the front? Spacers required basically make it the same offset

Spoke design also matters.Originally posted by Arith2 View PostAnyone running rear stock 18s square 255s? The rears clear really well, so why not just put rears on the front? Spacers required basically make it the same offset

I run stock 18x9 square with 265, 3mm spacer upfront just in case at autox wheel bearings give a bit, but it clears without. Rear has plenty of room without spacer.

How are folks with apex 9.5" et35 wheels managing with he wheel poke on spaces? When I mount my 18x9.5 et35 with a 5mm spacer (to clear the brakes) I'm getting a lot tire extension past the fender. Enough to make me concerned about contact under full compression.

Still on stock suspension with camber pins pulled.

In most cases camber, more of it.Originally posted by Lavatoad View PostHow are folks with apex 9.5" et35 wheels managing with he wheel poke on spaces? Or run a 255 tire or a narrower 265 tire (as in, not michelin)

If you're on stock suspension, you won't have much neg camber while static (so it'll look like lots of poke), but because of your ride height, when the front compresses, the camber will go more negative, and should clear the fender fine on 9.5et30.DD: /// 2011.5 Jerez/bamboo E90 M3 · DCT · Slicktop · Instagram

With a 275/40/17 Falken RT660 tire I needed more than 3 degrees of camber and a decently high ride height. With a 255/40/17 RS4 tire it’s more like two.Originally posted by Lavatoad View PostHow are folks with apex 9.5" et35 wheels managing with he wheel poke on spaces? But was that with the 12mm spacer such that the wheel was 9.5et23? Most run 9.5et22 with 265 tire and -3 to -3.5 camber.Originally posted by DoubleSidedTape View Post

Begs the question - why not just get the typical 9.5et22 wheel which would then negate need for spacers up front AND in the rear, and you could still rotate front to rear.DD: /// 2011.5 Jerez/bamboo E90 M3 · DCT · Slicktop · Instagram

Yea, that would have been smarter, but I didn’t know that ~4 years ago when I put these brakes on and bought the wheels.Originally posted by Tbonem3 View Post

Same, I got 18x9.5 et35 on a 265.. had to put 10mm spacer to fit over the brakes. Punching the air, should’ve got the et22Originally posted by DoubleSidedTape View Post
