    Sreten of M539 restorations used a lightweight (~ 4 lbs. lighter than stock) dual mass flywheel from PTB Racing on one of his cars. Skip to 16:40 in the video to see it.

      That's awesome, but a custom built one probably costs more than I'm willing to spend.

              I have a JB Racing flywheel. It sounded like marbles in a glass jar with the 420g. Mostly quiet with a ZF320 although the car has always been a tin can with the ZF320.

              The rattle might have more to do with the transmission than the engine.
