Red Oil Pressure Light comes on when idling (right after rod bearing replacement)

Almost sh*t my pants when I saw this. Leaving cars and coffee this morning I noticed that a red oil pressure light popped up on the dash. Whenever I would move the car or take the revs anything above 1K RPMs the light would go away. Come to a stop and it immediately comes back on once the RPMs drop below 1k. My idle is around 900 RPMs once the car is warmed up. My oil is not low, it's actually fresh.

For more context, my rod bearings were done yesterday. We did the full FCP Euro kit and used the correct torque specs for everything and bolted the car back together perfectly. I'm taking it back to the shop tomorrow but I just wanted to know if anyone on here ever experienced something similar to this? I don't believe my oil pressure is actually low, but that a sensor got dirty or went bad sometime during the job, but I don't know at this moment. Picture below for reference

No good. Install an external pressure gauge to check for the actual pressure. Just remove either the oil pressure or temperature sensor and install the gauge to the same threaded hole.

Oil level sensor or oil pressure sensor perhaps. Pull the codes.

oil level should be yellow, not red.
Code won't help if it's a bad oil pressure sensor.

Apparently its not a bad oil pressure sensor. I bought these rod bearings from FCP Euro. My Indy says the ".025mm (.001")" extra clearance on the bolts is probably what the issue is, and that the entire job has to be redone most likely. What do you all think? I am not eager to spend another $1500.

A sheet of paper towel didn't happen to get left in the oil pan before putting the pickup screen back in, did it? I know that sounds crazy, but bear with me...

I have the same ACL bearings in my car no oil pressure issues.

Well it's fcp so lucky for you, its all warrantied. Who knows, maybe something got stuck on the pick up tupe or it came loose.

Did he plastigage the crank and bearings to see the clearances?

What about upgrading the oil pump to a high volume unit? I'd imagine that's the recommended setup for these race bearings. You'd still want to check clearances but at least you get something additional out of 2x the labor cost to access the pan. Of course you have the incremental pump cost. Someone said its all warrantied under FCP - that's a bunch of horsesh-t.

The standard ACL bearings have part number - 6B1569H-STD

The extra clearance ones are - 6B1569HX-STD (note the X, .001” (0.025mm) additional clearance)

Looks like the FCP link are the extra clearance bearings.

You are correct, I purchased and had the extra clearance ones installed. My question is would the extra clearance bearings cause me to have low oil pressure when idling compared to stock bearings?

Lifetime warranty. The stretch bolts, gaskets, seals and anything else that comes off that cannot be reused is covered. They take back used oil too. I just sent mine in (and in return they got another $900 order from me, win-win).
Worst case you’re out 400 for new bearings if you simply bought the wrong ones.

theoretically yes, but I'd imagine that any difference in pressure would be too miniscule for your oil pressure sensor to pick up.
