Heater core leaking?
I want to drain my entire cooling system. How can I drain my heater core without having to disconnect the heater core hoses? Can I have the motor not running but the ignition turned on and the heater turned on? Will that open the heater core valve that will allow the heater core to drain along with the rest of the cooling2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - Kassel MAP - SSV1 - HJS - PCS Tune - Beisan - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal

Any update? Can't have the mythical obioban m3 off the road!
Pressure tested it and it held pressure. No further coolant has disappeared.
Hopefully it just burped over winter 😜

I'm discovering that the list of NLA parts for M coupe/roadster seems to get bigger and quickly. Problems with low production numbers. I also try to pick up extras of things that seem to be getting harder and harder to find.'07 M Coupe - RAC RG63 - AutoSolutions - Bilstein PSS10/B16 - Arqray

Doing a little spring project on the M3, which is fun-- with building the house, the e60 M5, etc, haven't really had time to do anything with it for a while. Changes:
1) new/updated/lighter/not crumbled under back seat sound deadening pad
2) Bry5on's additional exhaust mount point
3) Higher flow injectors (Bosch 0280156063), with new OE BMW injector o-rings and vacuum rail o-rings.
4) one step colder plugs (Denso ixu27)
5) creating a little spacer to allow my OEM (Die Wethje) CSL airbox from before CSL's existed to use the factory CSL air filter (my filter is slightly larger in one corner, so it doesn't get a good seal as is with a factory filter)
6) replacing two of the power steering lines that are slightly weeping
7) installing a wideband so I can use the forum partial throttle auto tuner
8) moving to an HTE tune, to update for my new injectors and colder plugs, as well as tuning the WOT with the wideband/data logger.
All my recent car projects have been e60 and e82. The e46 is so nice and easy in comparison. Really missed it.
