I've recently sent my ECU away for the MSS54HP conversion. It's running ok with the Auto3D MAF to IAT+MAP loom with the MAP sensor Teed into the pipe off the standard air rail. Standard CSL mapping for a manual transmission.
No hesitation, very smooth pickup and part throttle. Road manners etc. around town I can't fault.
However, it's so slow in first and second gear. Like really slow, to the point our Renault Kadjar with 160bhp feels much faster. It revs to 8000 where the limiter comes in.
Third gear isn't as bad and starts to improve from about 4000rpm.
On the move in fourth, fifth and sixth it's better and I'd say it's about 85% of what it was before sending the ECU off. The pickup from 2000rpm is still quite noticeably lacking though compared to how it was, it feels like it starts to build power and torque about 3500-4000rpm.
Is there anything I can check fairly quickly? I'm tempted to get a dyno run booked soon to see how much down on power it is.
