Yeah for sure. Someone thinks they can get a lot more for that car than EAG can - we'll see! If BaT didn't force them to accept a reasonable reserve it's going to be a wasted week IMO.

Damn, I would not pay $40k+ for an MK20 car

To anyone considering bidding on this car, please do your due diligence.

The dealer selling this car is pretty sketchy, and has screwed over several of my friends on air-cooled Porsches. Undisclosed accident history and paint work, rolled back mileage. You name it.

I wonder why BaT doesn’t have a seller feedback function.

MK20 and gray interior... this is just someone's lucky flip.

Other than this forum, like in real life, people seem to not give a fk about grey interior or some other archaic piece of equipment on an otherwise historic (20 years old in most states) car. Just saying.
                  Just some old shitty cars.

Someone came to my house 2 days ago to pay me $50 for my old gray interior so they can dye it. A black interior would sell for 10x or more and nobody is buying it to dye it a more pleasant color. Just saying.

To my eye, this grey interior doesn’t look so bad “covered up” by a coupe. If it was exposed in a drop top it would look so much worse. Here it just looks quiet with the black mats and other accents. $.02. Agreed that no one who hadn’t been on a board to witness the grey interior hate would think twice about it. Grey was fine in the E36M why, because it had M stripes on the seats? That’s the part that’s really missing from all these interiors.

My m3 is a good weather weekend car. I am approaching a 10 year ownership mark. I think if I did it over again, I wouldn’t listen to anything I read on the forum and would’ve gotten a vert. There. I said it. .

Yeah, I’m at 13 years and glad I got mine before people were hating on verts and SMG cars. By the time the SMG pumps started failing my prior experience with a Pentosin reliant car had already trained me that not changing the fluid is the problem. The way I use this car I really don’t expect trouble out of that system. It’ll still be a rattly old cloth top, which is part of its appeal for me.

I will say though, I bought the car expecting to mod it, but the more I read about them the less I'm interested in modding it.

Grey interior haters are parroted 10x over in this forum. BaT sale prices indicate it's clearly not a detractor for the actual sales market.

Is there a more peasant color than black for an interior? 🤣🤣 Y'all crack me up.

It's not just about black vs grey (many would still prefer black anyway), it's about how those color interiors look 20 years (or many miles) later.

Grey would have been fine on the E46 if they hadn’t gone overboard with it. The silverstone interiors on E39 M5s are much nicer because they used it as an accent rather than turning the entire interior into a featureless blob.
