You can say the same thing about gucci sunglasses vs target brand. They do the same job but only one of them makes a statement and goes for 10x the price.

Of course this is a flip. It's a dealer and it's their business. All of these guys are flipping these rare finds because it seems like the market for these clean one-offs like this is largely unaffected by the falling market. This isn't just an EAG game anymore. Ryan Friedman, the insta-famous and youtube crowd like fish2556, tampa garage, brooklyn auto sales....they're all in the game. I'd like to think it creates some competition, but these guys all talk with each other and pass cars around so I dunno what to think.

Interesting combo that I THINK works. I think I like Cinnamon on Interlagos a bit more, though. This being an 04 and the only 6MT slicktop and a single owner means this should have zero issues with being the highest priced E46 sold on BaT to date.

I thought the same... this is an exception. Someone must have really wanted it for some weird reason.

E46 grey interior is one of the actual worst grey interiors because it hides all the shapes, and looks like a 3D model that hasn’t had textures or colors applied to it yet. I will continue to die on this hill.

Nope. My ZCP sold surprisingly low. Its usually the miles/color/6mt/condition then options.

I dislike many collectors and high end re-sellers.
                              1. They rarely contribute to the community, most only take from the community.
                              2. They raise prices for everyone because some buy cars at absurd prices over something like a color which can have a trickle down effect. Favorite colors are great, I get that.
We all understand what is happening. There are collectors and there are those of us who drive and work on their cars regularly without fear of mileage or lost value. At least with re-sellers the motivation is clear, profit. Can't really say much on that front, we all like money. Collectors are a different animal, but that's probably just me. I collect nothing, absolutely nothing. Not books, DVDs, bottle caps, license plates, old tech, etc.. When I'm done with something out for sale or to the trash it goes. Point being I'm consistent whether the item is of little monetary value or of great monetary value. I derive no joy from the having, for me its all about the doing/using.

I don't want to be disrespectful to collectors, but I've never understood that process or mindset. Generally speaking, collectors are always obsessing over their car's worth or rarity, where as an enthusiast, again generally speaking, could care less (I understand we all have our favorite colors). I don't want to lose huge money on cars but I'm not concerned about it. I don't think about it.

I think that there are more low end re-sellers that profit from the prices raise of those unicorns on BAT

E46 M3 isn’t a rare car but with all of them that been salvaged, turned into track/race cars or part out for engine swap into other gen chassis, maybe in another 5 years it will become harder to find cheap example, like E36 M3 these days.
